Castle with large grounds in the Haute-Saône

Beautiful castle from the 15th century, with several outbuildings.
The beautiful “Petit Chateau” in Villers-Pater, Haute-Saône, is located on a plot of 18,000 m2, and consists of several buildings. The entrance passes two outbuildings, a guardhouse and the church and ends in front of the main building and the picturesque courtyard.

History of the castle

The castle predates 1386 when it served as an annex to the Saint Vincent Convent, near Besançon. It was rebuilt in 1415 and 1435 to be used as a fortress in 1534.
